The Pizza Whisperer

My friends at Y&R in San Fran and my friends at Round Table pizza thought I'd be a good spokesman for their super awesome delicious pizza pies. Now, I'll admit that many times I'm in it for the paycheck, but I gotta say, this is GREAT fricken pizza. We'll be shooting some more spots in June, but check out our latest below:

Now go get you some. If you recognize me on the street, I'll give you a free pizza coupon. That's how I show the love. There are about 500 stores, but they're only on the West Coast. Sorry Easties. But that doesn't mean you can't be part of the Round Table experience. Here's how:
You can watch the commercials on Roundtable's Website - Click on the ingredients for more PW fun.

Smarte Bidness

So Dave and I were hosting a happy hour at the office a few weeks ago and the number one question (behind "who's your agent?") was "Where's the bathroom key." For some unknown reason, our building, which often allows homeless people to mill about the lobby is very protective of the toilet. Our buddy Josh Weinroth was in the house and Dave suggested we attach the key to him. Then, Dave decided we needed to shoot that. We did. It may end up as a series about two inept business consultants and you can keep up with their adventures here. Since Josh was there from the beginning, we cast him as the annoying neighbor who keeps stealing the key, and since Ron Jeremy needs to break out of porn, we cast him as the key. Here's how it turned out.

Primetime in No Time

Last year, on my birthday, I got a call from Corey Moss who produces the original content on Yahoo! He was looking for someone to write on their new show, Primetime in No Time. It's a daily show that highlights the best moments in last night's primetime. Now, since I love sweet, sweet TV, it was a perfect fit and I started writing on the show that very night. Since then I've produced a few episodes, hosted a few episodes and written several hundred episodes. The show is hosted by comic Frank Nicotero, who brings it every single day and as it turns out is my neighbor in Studio City. Nick Paschal (Nick the PA) is our version of Chris Eliot and does a great job managing the day to day while Jason Fitzpatrick shoots, directs and edits it all together. Kyle Moss just joined the team to pick up the slack on the days when me and Corey can't or won't write and the Moss Sequel is kicking some cyber ass himself these days.

Our little webseries now has 100s of millions of viewers and peaks with around 9mm streams on a single day. Not bad for a bunch of TV junkies. Expect great things as Primetime expands the empire.

I'll post a clip of one of my hosting gigs shortly, but it's tricky because I think there are rules about Fair Use that prevent me from posting other people's work in certain forums but I gotta read up on all that.

Allied Steel Erections

A little while ago, Allied Steel Buildings came to The Exploding Pajamas for a funny, viral spot they could pass around to clients and vendors. They also wanted something to show at those boring conferences about roof pitch and I-beams. When we sat down with the team at Allied Steel, they said that their erections were fast and easy - yeah - we said, "Excuse me? Did you just say..." That's all the info we needed and the meeting was ended immediately. Here's the finished project.

Untitled Kwan Project

Recently I spent the day at the East West Ice Palace in Artesia California which is run by the friendly and accommodating Kwan family, as in Olympic skater Michelle Kwan. I apologize for the photo quality. It was a camera phone and we were very busy that day and didn't have much time for pics. I can't give too much away as my buddies Brian Sawyer and Gregg Rossen are still polishing it up for the studios, but I can tell you that Michelle and I had several great scenes together and I learned how to drive a Zamboni. Facebookers can see about 10,000 pics of me driving the Zamboni.
